Care Instructions for Tulips, Hyacinths, Muscari, Narcissus, and Other Bulb Flowers

1. After receiving your bouquet, trim each tulip stem with a sharp knife or pruner. Make a straight cut at a 90-degree angle — this helps the stems absorb water more effectively. 
2. Place the tulips in a vase filled with clean cool water. These flowers don’t need a lot of water — about 3–4 cm (1–2 inches) is enough. Just be sure the stems stay submerged and check the water level daily. 
3. Do not add flower food — bulb flowers typically last longer and open more beautifully without it. 
4. We recommend removing the bouquet’s wrapping and placing the stems in the vase in a spiral technique, as arranged by the florist. This helps the bouquet maintain its shape, while tulips develop their natural graceful curve and open up beautifully.
